Michelle Morelan received her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Design specializing in Interior Design, from Kwantlen University College in 2006.
While at Kwantlen, Michelle earned both the Daryl McConnell Award for her philosophy of looking to nature, and the Don Adams Award for design excellence; two awards of highest distinction.
Michelle grew up in Ucluelet BC, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, where much of her design aesthetic developed. Nature and site are strong influences, so her interiors are textural, casual and natural by design, never conflicting with architecture and site, and proudly, always reflecting the lifestyle of her clients.
Original art, renderings and weekend workshops are also keeping Michelle busy, along with her drawing for interior design blog “A Schematic Life”
“The client’s needs, a green approach, detailed packages and great communication keep MMID’s projects on time and budget. A client’s approach is a window into how they want their space to work and feel, and I listen for those clues, creating a space which will reflect the client and offer great design”
