E-Design
A design in a box approach to design. I put a furniture package and floor plan package together for you, including great accessories, and you order and place the items yourself. New York or Alberta...it works for a wider range of clients.
Why?
You want that room that looks like a magazine, but don’t understand why it hasn’t worked for you in the past or because you are overwhelmed with the choices available. It may be because you are ready for change.
Who?
Some people are do-it your-selfers, and are not in need of full design services. They may live out of the Vancouver area, or may need help with just a couple of rooms. They may want to phase a project, or may be working with a tighter design budget.
When?
Once information about your space and fees in full via pay pal are collected, I get started planning your room(s). It takes about 2 weeks. You do not need a pay pal account.
How?
- I use your local stores and online resources available to you. You do the ordering, receiving and placement of those items, according to your shopping list (specifications) and floor plan. First you send me information about your room(s).
- How big is the room; where are the windows and doors?
- Where are the locations of ceiling lights?
- What is the over all look you are going for? (some images may help here)
- Request a questionnaire so I have an idea of your style, how and who uses the space(s)
Where?
Dealing with clients is easy, anywhere courier services like Fed Ex or UPS are available.
What?
You receive:
- Schematic floor plans of the space
- Schematic elevations of walls showing windows and doors/wall/trim treatments
- Design presentation boards with samples and images
- Shopping list (specifications) for proposed items, so you can get started!
What is specified?
- Furniture
- Paint Colours
- Decorative lighting
- Draperies and drapery hardware
- Accessories or direction for accessories
- Flooring, area rugs
- Art direction or selections
How Much?
Some rooms take more planning than others. Here is a breakdown of room fees:
- Kitchens and Bathrooms- $1075.
- Bedrooms, Offices, Powder Rooms- $775.
- Living Rooms, Family Rooms- $1275
Full Service through Michelle Morelan Design is an option available to clients at any point during the process, and I would be happy to speak with you regarding renovations, new builds, re-decorating millwork drawings or managing your project.
